Teachers UISEK

Teachers from SEK university are good professionals and people. They have a lot of studies and experience in the field or subject that they teach, they also have degrees and important positions on the professional market, so they can give us their knowledge. On the other hand they are very patient and comprehensive, but they also demand us to accomplish our homework. Finally they give us advices and help us to be better people and students. Our teachers are excellent giving classes and sometimes are our friends too. 

Friendship

    Friendship is one of the most important things that  people should have in their lives. We are humang beings, so we can´t be alone all the time, we need to "the others". We need the support of friends, family, colleagues, etc., becuase they help us in many ways.

First, a friend helps us to be  better people. He or she tells us what are our mistakes, and what are our strenghts. A trully friend never lies, so we can trust in him or her.

Second, a friend gives us support when we are going through difficult moments or situations. He or she cheers us up and gives us advices.

Third, and the most important. A friend listens to us. if we are sad, if we are happy he or she is there to hear our problems or our success.

Without friendship our lives will be sad and dark, because if we share time, experiences, conversations, and different moments with a person that is important for us, we will be happier and we will feel better.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Human rights are composed of laws and values that people follow to have justice and organization in the society.

First the Rome Emporium set the idea of justice and law. Then the French revolution, in 1879, set the bases for the creation of human rights. Equality, freedom and fraternity were the three objectives of this revolution that change the world and the ideology of this decade. Since then, the importance of human beings was put at the top of the discussions and laws.

With the declaration of human rights people is protected from injustice, discrimination, disrespect and dishonor. Human rights are the basic values and the fundamental freedoms that each person has in the society.

All the people born free and equal in dignity and rights, no matter if they are black or white, woman or man, they have the same rights. People could have different race, sex, language, religion, political opinion, but they are also part of the society and deserve respect from everybody.

Everyone has the right to live, the right of liberty of expression and opinion, the right of having security and the right to be recognized everywhere as a person.

The slave and the servitude shall be prohibited such us the degrading treatment or punishment because there are no reason to torture or to be cruel with other people.

Human rights guarantee that people have equal protection of the law and equal protection against any discrimination or violation of the rights. Without these norms people could do whatever they want and nobody would be respected.

Friendship

It usually takes time to cultivate a good friendship, but sometimes we feel closeness with a person.  We feel that person is our soulmate, so we become friends instantly.
we have different kinds of friendship, depending usually on how long we have known the friends. the process of making friends can be divided into three stages:


-New friends and acquaintances
-True friends
-Best friends


There are many reasons why people become friends, but the most important in a friendship is to trust each other

Papallacta

Papallacta is an hour away from Quito, this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful peaceful moment with your family or with your couple. Here ypu will find many things to do. For example: you can go hiking, fishing trout, or you can do excursions around the nature.

This touristic place is known and is popular for its thermal baths. There are many pools with different temperatures. You will find some of them that are very hot, other are mild, and there is also cold water that comes directly from the river.

At this place you can eat the trout that you fish, also you can get relaxing massages, aromatherapy and much more.

Quinche

Quinche is an hour away from Quito. Each year there are pilgrimages on foot from Quito to the Virgin of Quinche, because it is known as very miraculous. Here you can visit the central park, the central church and you can ask for a favor to the Virgin or you can pray and feel better with yourself. Also you can buy aromatic candles, crucifixes, rosaries, bibles, because this is a very religious place.

But religious is not the only thing that you will find here, because you can also enjoy eating delicious candies, food and you can take pictures of the antique houses and plazas.

Sangolquí

Sangolquí is part of the canton Rumiñahui, which is in the southeast of Quito. Here you will find a delicious traditional dish that is called hornado, it is roast pig and is spectacular you will not regret of tasting this plate.

At this place you can visit many places like the historical center, the central plaza, the central church and the monuments of "El Choclo", "Rumiñahui" and "Hummingbird. ", where you can take many photographs to remember your stay in Ecuador.

Sangolquí also has waterfalls and beautiful nature to visit. And if you want to buy groceries, the popular market of this place has cheaper prices, and better fruits and vegetables.

Tena

Tena is the capital of Napo province and is in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The climate is very humid and hot and the biodiversity is exuberant. Here you can visit waterfalls, go hiking, fishing and you can visit “The Island Park” that has many kinds of animals and plants.

You can also go swimming to Tena Rivers, or enjoy eating Tilapia that is a typical fish of this zone. Also you can drink naranjilla juice that is very delicious and you can interact with animals like monkeys that are all over the place, walking beside you. It is really fun.

Nayon

Nayon is 20 minutes from Quito, is a very beautiful Valley of the city. Here you can enjoy of many activities. There are many restaurants that are specialist in cooking traditional food. You can visit the central park and the central Cathedral too.

This Valley is known as the “garden of Quito”. People form Nayon has nurseries garden, where you can buy any kind of flower or plant that you can imagine. Here you find plants for your garden, for the inside of the house, for your office, or for your wedding. You have a big variety of species.

The climate is very warm, and the people is very friendly, so you will feel comfortable and well treated

 

Cuenca

The city of Cuenca is the third largest city in the country of Ecuador. The place has got very good transport facilities and recently it has developed into a very popular tourist destination. This city is full of history and culture.

You must not miss the different sightseeing spots in Cuenca. There are many beautiful locations in and around the city. You can go to many restaurants, excursion tours, or you can visit cathedrals or museums.

Also, in this city you will find many shopping areas where you can buy handicrafts, ornaments, scarves, huts, earrings, etc.

Guayaquil

Guayaquil, is the largest and the most populous city in Ecuador and is also the nation's main port. It has many Tourist Attractions that you can visist. Its climate is very hot and humid, so you have to bring shorts, skirts, and that kind of clothes.

There are a lot of Things to do in Guayaquil. The city is the center of Ecuador's fishing and manufacturing industries. The city now boasts of a new airport terminal, paving way for further tourist activity.

In this city you can go to interesting museums, colorful festivals, nightlife and shoppind. You should visit “Las Peñas”, Guayaquil´s Malecon, Iguana´s Park, and the bay; where you can buy many things in the cheapest prices.

Manta

Manta is the perfect beach to rest with your friends and family. Also is perfect to eat delicious sea food like fish, shrimps, etc. Here in Manta you can visit many touristic places. For example you can go to different and beautiful beaches: Santa Marianita, The Frailes, Murcielago, etc.

And this is not all, because in Manta you can find very nice restaurants, three malls to go shopping and you will have all the facilities of a city; Manta has supermarkets, places to have fun, discos, parks.

In conclusion, manta is a big city with amazing beaches and things to do. Here you will enjoy your vacation.

Baños

Baños de Agua Santa is located in the province of Tungurahua. In this city, tourists can enjoy beautiful scenery, thermal pools and spas that will make you forget the daily stress. It is also a place where you can practice extreme sports such as rafting, climbing, canyoning, trekking or jump swing.

It is a beautiful city dedicated to agriculture and tourism. One of the highlights you'll find, is the Tunghurahua volcano, also called "black giant". This volcano is amazing but is dangerous too. Here you can see many vegetation, mountains and unique landscapes.

Baños is a small city, but has many fun activities to do. You will not get bored and you will enjoy very much with your family or friends.

Mitad del Mundo

“La Mitad del Mundo”, located 13.5 km from the capital Quito, is the smallest city in Ecuador. It’s a very tourist, cultural, scientific and commercial place. Inside it, is the Equatorial Monument, perched on Latitude 0 º 0'0 ", where you can be in the 2 hemispheres at the same time.

On this tourist site you can enjoy exquisite traditional food, crafts of all kinds and museums where you can find interesting information about the history, architecture and natural resources of our country. Also you can enjoy a delicious ice cream pail that you'll love

It is a very beautiful place to take pictures and admire the incredible scenery.

Salinas

Salinas is one of Ecuador's most visited beaches nationally and internationally. Here you can enjoy the sun and crystal clear water. It is a quiet but funny place where you can do many things like going to the park with slides, walking along the boardwalk, eating delicious seafood, or going out with friends.

If you want to tan, take a delicious smoothie or meet friendly and funny people you have to visit this beach or any beach in our country. You won´t regret it.

Mindo Butterfly Inn

The "Mindo Butterfly" Inn has a great butterfly exhibit. In this beautiful place you can find peace in an exotic environment. The Inn has 9 independent cottages built with local wood; it has been planted to reduce the environmental impact. Here you can do many activities with your family or friends, for example: you can ride horses, walk around the forest, see waterfalls and unique landscapes or practice extreme sports like canopy, rafting, and many interesting things.
